I don't know anything about leather, can I take the course?
Absolutely! We all have to start somewhere. The beginner-friendly courses come with all the information and resources you need to get started.

Do I need a sewing machine?
Unless specified, all course projects will be hand stitched. All machine-stitched courses will have "Course Requires A Sewing Machine" label if one is needed.

Can children take these courses?
Due to the tooling used to complete course projects, it's recommended that children under the age of 16 have adult supervision for beginner-friendly courses. All intermediate and advanced courses are not fit for children below 16.

What do I need for the course?
This is a hands on course - you will need to supply your own materials, hardware, and supplies. A detailed list of exactly what you need and where to get it, is provided with each course.

What if I don't have a suppliers in my area to get what I need?
There are a ton of online suppliers that ship worldwide and some even ship internationally. Each course comes with a list of my trusted online suppliers.

Is it hard to make a bag or work with leather?
At NikkiMade, we don't believe in hard. However, if you're new to either craft, it might be challenging. Just take your time, work at your own speed and you'll get the hang of it.

How long does it take to make a bag, accessories or a home decor piece
Everyone works at a different speed. The amount of time it takes to finish a project varies from person to person.

Can I use scrap leather
Please do! Upcycling is recommended and welcomed. Especially for first-time projects. Just make sure you have enough to complete the course.
